Boo fucking hoo.
Yea, so much for the long run of good mood I was in. For a while there, things really seem to be picking up for ol’ Pup. Everything was coming up Pup (good for you if you know where that's from). Just as quickly as the doors to new opportunities and new things were opening up, they are just as quickly shut right in my face.
I’m probably just being a bit over-dramatic, but still. It really sucks when you have your heart set on something and it doesn’t work out.
In case you’re wondering what it is, it’s just a job thing. Nothing too overly serious I guess. Hence me thinking I’m being over-dramatic.
I didn’t get selected for a job I interviewed for. I know, this isn’t a big thing. I’ve been rejected for dozens and dozens of jobs before. For a few specific reasons, I’m especially down about this one.
The job was going to be great. It would be my current boss’s job but at another company. A company that’s in Atlanta. It’s exactly what I do now, but with management opportunities. I get my own group of peons!
It was also a great fit too. The new company is about 2 years behind as far as what I do. They want to set up the exact same group that I’m current in now, they’re in the same industry, and they even use all the same vendors as we do. What the hell? How did I not get it?
The Atlanta thing really was the biggest draw though. I’ve made up my mind about having to move back sometime this year. I’m tired of living in strange areas where I only know a few places and have only a few friends to hang out with. I know Atlanta, I have friends there and my family is there. Sweet tea is also the norm there.
I’m SO ready to settle down somewhere I want to be. I’m over this whole living in an apt. thing and the living in all areas of the country thing. It’s time I get a house with a yard.
Oh well, I guess I’ll try again if something else comes up.
Looking at the Brightside, at least I won’t have to get rid of tickets for “The Killers” I have for May. That and living here is closer to Southern Ill.
At least the Tournament starts on Thursday. I’ll just drink myself silly and forget all this crap.

She’s drooling and her nipples are hard.
That’s one of the best responses I’ve ever heard describing someone who’s about to talk to me.
So the Maddness has begun. The brackets are out! I’m SO excited. The wonderful beautiful thing that is the NCAA tournament is about to start. It doesn’t matter what seat you’re in, as long as you’re at the dance.
Just win your games. It’s put up or shut up time baby!
I spent most of last Thursday, Friday, and Saturday watching basketball and drinking. Mmmmm… drinking. There’s really no better way to spend a day than to drink beers and yell at a television.
The only minor drawback to this weekend is that I’m not usually watching the same games as everyone else around me. Naturally, people from here are big Kansas, Iowa or other Big 12 fans. Being from the South, I’m much more interested in the ACC and SEC games than I am with the silly Big 12 games (since they're SO not going to get very far in the tournment).
So as people are cheering for one game, I’m watching another. It’s pretty awkward when people are quite during a commercial or something during one game, and I’m yelling “get a damn rebound damn it!!! Re-fucking-bound!!! Would it kill you to box someone out?! Damn monkey fucks!”
Good thing I was drunk and didn’t really care.
If you thought I was unproductive last Thursday and Friday, just you wait till this Thursday and Friday.
I had another dream last night involving zombies. I was trapped in some house with a few other people, and there are zombies everywhere outside. They haven’t really discovered where we were yet, so we’re just hiding out. The zombies keeps looking through the blinds, but I guess they don't see us. The last thing I remembered when I was talking to this guy and he was leaning by the door. All of a sudden, an arm comes through the door and drags him out. After that, all the othe zombies comes storming into the room.
I remembered I had a 2x4 with a big nail in one end. I charged the zombies, but then I woke up just before I struck one of them.
Anyone care to do some dream interpretation on that? I’ve looked up some books and internet sites but there’s nothing about what zombies represents in a person’s dreams.
Have a good Monday!

How unproductive can I be?
Let me count the ways.
I left around 1pm yesterday to go to 3 games of the Big 12 tournament. Thanks to vendor gifts and random uncle tickets, we were at that stadium for a good long time yesterday.
Don’t worry, it wasn’t all free. The 6 dollar beers and 6 dollar brats (Which I had 2) were much more than the tickets were worth.
So being the cheap and ghetto bastard that I am, I brought my own flask. I order a giant coke and after a few sips, turned it into a giant Jack and coke. I didn’t have a stirrer or anything, so for the first few sips, that was a mighty ‘smooth’ coke.
I didn’t care much for the first game we watched between Iowa state and Baylor. Now the second game (the one where I was having my giant drink), it was Kansas State vs. Texas A&M.
That’s right folks, Texas A&M. In case you didn’t know, there’s no love here between me and those bastard Aggies. If I found out their campus burned to the ground, the only emotion I would have is happiness.
Yea, I don’t like them. Well, not like would be to put it very very nicely.
Being that we were in Kansas and they were playing Kansas State, there were all kinds of Kansas State folks all by us. This was a wonderful thing. When I yelled ‘I hope you die you damn aggies’ and other mildly psychotic threats at the players and school and few about their moms, I didn’t get any looks of disgust nor did any cops escort me out. Instead, I received a couple of laughs and a few high-fives.
Those of you who have had the ‘pleasure’ of seeing a college basketball game with me can attest to my screaming at the top of my lungs. This only gets worst when it’s live and there’s even a small remote chance that they’ll hear me. Well, that’s not that important. I just like the yelling. Y’all should really experience this.
It was a close game with the lead going back and forth between the 2 teams. This was great as it kept the intensity up and my yelling continuous. In the end, unlike the real world, evil was beaten back on this day and Kansas State came out with the victory.
I could give a rat’s ass Kansas State won, but the Aggies lost. Lost like the cowardly bitches they are. Now their season is over except for maybe the NIT, for that I am happy.
I love March!
Have a great weekend watching the tournament games and Selection Sunday!!

Bombardment of Information
I don’t know if I’ve blog about this before, and I’m much too lazy to look at my old posts so I’ll just go with it.
In our society today, we are constantly being bombarded with information. Everywhere we go there’s information about something. Bla bla bla.. a big diarrhea of information. We are constantly being informed of something. However, that something is usually crap. White noise to keep our minds working and just occupied enough where we don’t need to think, but yet there’s really no real thinking going on. Basically a zombie-a-fication of people.
I think as a society, this is a real problem that of course no one will ever care about.
The problem is with information. There’s that old saying that you can’t have too much information or knowledge. Well, as with most things old, I don’t believe this applies to the world today and is just plain wrong.
No one needs to know most of the crap that are being fed to them. Most are simply useless information.
Let’s put on our conspiracy hats shall we? Here’s a couple that I’ve come up with for the reasons why there are so much information out there yet it seems people are becoming less informed of important things.
With the bombardment of useless crap information, the government is better able to hide actual important information that we need to know. Among the masses of irrelevant information, the real informative information is lost among all the static. They are able to keep information such as how corrupt and wrong they always seem to be easily hidden from the masses.
This flooding of information also serves the great purpose of zombie-a-ficating the masses. The load of information that we all receive occupies our minds just enough that we don’t actually do anything thinking for ourselves. With longer working hours and more complicated lives, we simply don’t have the time or the capacity to filter out all the crap and to analyze what is actually important. This lack of thinking makes us nothing more than zombies.
Even more sadly, I believe that as a species, we’re having less and less original thought. Not because everything has been thought of, but just that we simply don’t do it anymore. There’s just too much information out there, or at least a perception there of. There’s an assumption that everything’s on the internet. So there’s no need to think. No need to create anything new and unique anymore. Or at least that’s the perception
This is a dangerous proposition and trend. A society without any original thought. Sure there are new technologies and things that comes out constantly, but that’s not what I speak of. It’s the little things that each person contributes to the whole. There’s simply less people doing the thinking for the masses than ever before.
With this pattern of thought and complacency, there’s nowhere we as a people can go. Nowhere we can advance. In the place of a lack of advancement in our society, that’s where we see this resurgence of religion.
In a way, that’s what religion does to many people. Before you get all up in my case about this, it’s true, and I said many. Not all. Crazy religious people = zombies. Think about it, it’s not that big of a stretch.
Ok, that was a tangent. Back to the issue at hand.
What can we do about this bombardment of information? The answer? Nothing really. With information moving faster and more wide-reaching than ever before, we’ve developed a hunger for information. A hunger to know everything within our fingertips at any time. This is a disease that’s going to be harder to shake than crack in the early 90s.
Oh well… what’re you gonna do? Like many problems that exists today that we seem to have no problem ignoring, we won’t know that this is a problem until it’s too late.
Perhaps this isn’t a problem at all and it’s just me. This could certainly be the case.
I’m just gonna sit back and have me a pint.
Happy Thursday!

Not boring... Just not exciting...
Things have been mucho busy here at work. My mind has been way pre-occupied with other things going on in my life so there’s nothing much on the blogger front.
Still waiting on some news. If it happens, I’ll let you know. It’ll be good I promise. Well, for me it will. It probably wouldn’t really have any effect on your lives so you probably don’t care all that much. Although if you ever visit me, the first round is on me.
I’ve seen some things going on in the blogger world lately that has been pretty shocking. What in the world in going on? Sheese. Get along!
I feel sooooo old lately. It wasn’t bad enough that I got sick, cause I NEVER get sick, but I’ve been going to sleep really early the last couple of nights and getting up early in the morning. This is SO not like me. Damn it, we used to go to raves at 1am and get back around 9am or so. What the hell happened to that guy? That guy was pretty cool.
I had an 8am meeting (yea yea, it’s not that early for some of you, but it’s just unheard of for me) this morning and I was all on time and even early enough to check some blogs in the morning. Probably cause I went to sleep so damn early, I was wide awake before the sun came up.
No one wins with an early rising pup. I strongly think there is a problem with being up before the sun. There should be a law.
Damn it, Damn it, Damn it... I think I may be getting old.... I think I may try to take off from work early today so I can catch the 4pm dinner specials with the old folks.
I heard some big big life changing news from a friend of mine this weekend. The kind that makes you go Hmmmm… Well, I’ll just say congratulations and the best of luck!
I was going to do this thing Barrie passed on to me, and I still may, but it’s embarrassing to think how little I read. When “Captain Underpants” was the last book you read, that’s probably not good.
Aren’t you all so glad I share these things. Didn’t this just brighten your day and made you a better informed person? No? oh. Nevermind then.
Have a good Tuesday!

Follow Me Around...
the French Quarter
New Orleans is steamy hot. The sky begins to darken this summer evening. It's very humid. A shirtless black man pesters the aimless tourist. He has voodoo in his eyes. He babbles on about the myth of Sisyphus only he doesn't know the myth. He gives a desperate performance but no one gives him aid. He's ill and begs only for water.
I laugh at him.
THE CITY STINKS!!!
It's hard to ignore the filth while breathing the flagrant air.
The night is alive with no memory of its past. The city lives for sex, crime, drugs, culture, music, voyeurism, spirits, fornication, wickeness, black magic. ahhhhahahahahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The hazy sky is colored with jazz flavors and fried seafood. People are gathering on Bourbon Street. The district welcomes all. The classy and the riff raff. The selfish and those who know better. The cafes are cluttered with pretension. The dives are throwing down. A homeless woman sleeps comfortably in a deserted ditch. A child tap dances for a meal. A soap box preacher tells me to repent. I give him two dollars for his efforts.
The myriad neon lights are ubiquitous and intoxicating. Co-eds dance topless for charms. The brothels lure young sophisticated gentlemen for a night of unknown pleasures. A woman is rendered unconscious from violence...groping hands and feet and pelvic thrustings. A siren sounds.
The moon is pale, and ominous spirits swirl about the shadowy streets of the French Quarter. But a man is selling roses for love. I turn my head. And then my eyes meet hers.
damn, i'm out of beer.

Oh yell na beotch!
I KNOW your dollar store nappy weave ass SO ain’t be trying to be all getting all up in my face.
Oh.. Na bitch..
I don’t give a goddamn! It ain’t about you. You’d be getting all up in here thinking you some hot shit. You ain’t hot shit bitch. You cold diarrhea.
Girl, you raise that finger up one more time and you gonna lose it!
What the hell is wrong with chu anyway? Ignorant ass bitch. What? Yo mama stop paying for your friends so you ain’t got none now? You figured smelling like fried chicken all the time will at least get you a couple of hungry brothers.
Oh hell na, you didn’t just call me that. Boo-boo you hear what she just called me? Oh NO you Did-nen.
You don’t know me Bitch. Who the fuck is you?
I’ll cut you.. I ain’t playing. I’ll cuuuuut your little bitch ass. Rip that 3 dollar weave off too.
Wha?
Yo mama.
For some reason, I had a feeling that I was arguing with someone in my dreams last night, but I was all out of practice. Not that this is how I usually argue with people, but there was my attempt at practicing.
Actually, it’s not just some reason. I watched an hour of COPS before I went to bed last night. Now that’s entertainment.
Yes, I do find it slightly odd that in my dream I was a woman arguing with another woman. I can be very diverse sometimes.
Any of y’all wanna get some of this, just bring it.
You probably couldn't tell by the beginning of this post, but I’m in a really good mood. There are possible big changes in the Pup world. Stayed tuned!
Happy Friday Everyone!

What the FUCK is wrong with you people?
Aside from an awful sounding cough, I think I’m finally feeling like my old Pup self again. As I was telling someone last night, I think all parts of me are working ok again. So naturally, we’re off on our rant once again.
Since the Ten Commandments are being fought out in the supreme court recently, I thought I once again speak on a topic that annoys me to no end. Actually, it’s probably the one thing that really gets at me. That my friends, would be the president and his Christian handlers.
Even with congressional inaction not a big enough hint to his dumbass that this is an awful and totally discriminatory plan, Bush sidestepped lawmakers with executive orders and regulations to give religious organizations equal footing with nonsectarian ones in competing for federal contracts.
WTF? Since when did religious organizations ever hurt for money? Have you BEEN to a church lately? I think these people are doing just fine. How about instead of adding another parking deck to house your thousands of members each week or having ridiculous salaries for your minister/preacher/whoever the fuck, that you use some of that money for good like you’re suppose to. Multiple Jets for churches? What the fuck is that about? Are you too good to fly like the rest of us? Did your God tell you to buy your own plane?
I know there are many church groups that do really good things for their community, and that’s great. I guarantee you though, there’s a catch to all that niceness. Don’t kid yourself and think there isn’t. Nothing is free when it comes to religious groups. They're like a disease that has this need to keep spreading to everyone. After all, that is what religion is all about isn't it? Influence and power.
Why in the hell do you see the need to take money away from nonsecular groups that offer services that your judgment-happy, prejudice, hateful ass won’t help.
You know what groups I’m talking about.
Who’s going to help them? Who's going to help these people that you don't deem 'worthy'? Or are we just going to say fuck'em. If they don’t believe in what we believe in, then no help for them. Well, cause that’s what’s gonna happen.
The president and his cronies will say that it’s open to any religion. Yea, how much can you possible believe in that. Guess what religion will be represented in the committee that hands out the money? I’ll give you a hint, the government is dominated by Christian conservative republicans and they really seem to like their little club.
And Mr. President, you’re not that slick. You think you are, but not through the eyes of the Pup. I see your dumbass trying to sneak shit by. I’ve read your religious-based initiative. It’s not only about getting the government to start sponsoring the Christian agenda, but you’ve also sneaked some stuff in there haven’t you?
Shit like you are allowed to not hire someone purely based on religious beliefs. The reasoning was that it wouldn’t ‘fit’ with your religious organization. Hiring and firing decisions based on religion, that’s just fuckentastic. If you don’t see how this is a very bad thing, then there’s really no hope for you. Way to beat back civil rights you ass!
The way you’re running this government and are shaping it is in NO WAY any different than those they have in Iran. Those you say are 'wrong'. I guess we've all just misunderstood you. You're saying Iran isn't wrong for having a faith-based governement, it's just the wrong faith... Now I gotcha.
What freedoms we have were fought for way before you were here W. The same ones you talk about instilling in other country are the ones you’re replacing with your mightier than thou Christian beliefs.
In your years as president you have done NOTHING to give the American people more freedom or liberty that you so love to speak about. You have given us fear, wars, prejudices, an ego-centric mentality, intolerance, made all our former friends look at us with disgust, and lead us ever closer to a religious conservative state.
I point my anger at the president, but I know it’s not him. I know who you all are that’s behind this. I’ll find you. I’ll find a way to get you, and if not me. Someone will.

Dum dum dummmmmmmmm.......
Just in time for me to start feeling better is our yearly review. That dreaded review of how you are doing at work. I don’t think I have much to worry about, I think my boss generally likes my work. However, being secretly very neurotic, the worryness is working overtime.
Why the review for the previous year doesn’t come until March, I do not know. I’ve never had one with my present employer or manager so I’m not sure what all to expect. I DO know that I’ll find out my raise for the year and perhaps a bonus.
Mmmmm... bonus.
That bonus is already being planned to take me straight to somewhere tropical where I can just sit and sip a drink with an umbrella.
Yea.. I said umbrella... Put it in there!!!!
Maybe I won't get near anywhere tropical. I hope I at least get a slab of ribs. That'd be a great bonus. Here you go Pup, slab of ribs and some beans.
I think I can be happy with that.
OR.... the best way EVER to determine your yearly bonus.
Come on… big money... big prizes.... no whammies…
STOP!

Air Blogger
Generally, during my weekend travels that requires me to be stuck in a giant tin can with people that I wonder how I would interact act with if we were to crash on some deserted island with no hopes of being rescued, I would entertain myself with a book, my trusty gameboy, my MP3 player, or good ol’ sleep.
Oh yea, the deserted island scenario is a staple every time I fly. Sadly, the chances of crashing in a remote tropical island on the flight from Philly to Kansas City are quite slim. Oh well, that’s what imagination is for…
Immmmaaaaginaaaation.... Immmmmmaaaginaaaation....
Well, I forgot to bring a book. My gameboy’s battery is dead. I forgot my MP3 player. I have a throbbing headache that won’t allow me to sleep. Good thing I brought my laptop this trip. So I guess I’ll just type away here on my computer.
I’ll warn you now, if you continue to read, this is time that you’ll never get back and there’s no refund or exchanges.
I usually catch a late flight home on Sunday nights so I can maximize my weekends elsewhere, this time is no different. Flying at night is very introspective. Unless you dose off. Then you’re just asleep and not so much introspective. Well, maybe you still are if you’re dreaming… Hmmm.. anyway.
I always get a window seat so I can look out the window. I like the lights that illuminate small towns and cities as we fly by. I wonder what they’re doing down there. Who those people are and what stories do they have? Does someone down there think The Killer’s rock as much as I do?
Tonight, we’re flying through cloudy skies so it’s pitch black outside except for the blinking lights on the wings. I sit and stare at the wing waiting...
I heard once that during cloudy dark flights like this one, gremlins sometime comes out to play. No one knows where they come from, no one knows why. They play on the wings of unsuspecting planes. Ripping out metal sheets one by one and slowly tearing the wings apart.
Now all seems lost if a gremlin shows up on your plane since you can’t exactly go outside to stop them. Luckily for us though, these gremlins have a big weakness. That weakness is being unable to play and do their damage if someone is looking at them.
It’s that simple. They will only do damage if no one pays attention.
So I sit here in my seat by the window staring. Staring at our right wing during this whole flight. Keeping the gremlins away. Keeping people safe.
This is what happens when I don’t have my toys on the airplane.
I’m going to go to the bathroom to figure out if it’s actually feasible to have sex in there. That thing is SO tiny. I don’t think so, but I’ll go double check and work out some possible positions.
This is all making SO little sense. Even for me. Argh.. I wish my headache would stop... Stupid flu.
Oh.. landing time. Yay.. almost home.

Stupid Al Quada Bio-Nanobots.
Yup, I’m blaming Al Quada. Who else would be able to get me sick? We do indeed need to fear these guys.
This has been a pretty bad week. First, everyone in my group gets sick. On Tuesday, I came in a bit later than usual, and saw that no one in the group (5 of us) was here. Of course the first thing I’m thinking is I forgot an 8am meeting again. That’s way embarrassing and has happened more often than it should.
I checked my calendar, and nope. No meetings. Phew.
So I just sit around and work.. ok, I’m checking blogs, shut up. So around 9am, my boss comes in and tells me everyone is out sick today. I secretly smirk because I’m not sick cause my immune system rocks!
I spoke too soon.
By Wednesday afternoon, I was sick and all nasty. My head burning up and the rest of my body freezing. I took off a couple hours early, and the drive back home felt like I was drunk. It wasn’t a pretty night. I think my fever had gone beyond the 100 mark, and I was sweating like a hog but was still freezing. That is not a good feeling.
I felt pretty ok the next day so I went to work. Still, no one there. I don’t know what got into me, but I thought I’d backup my computer file. I loaded the software and boom, my computer totally crashes on me.
This was worst than the blue screen of death, it was gone. There was no OS, no nothing. Like someone erased the whole thing. The Tech guy came down and told me that my profile seemed to be gone. Like this was a brand new computer and no one’s ever used it. Weird.
Luckily all the files were still there on the hard-drive, so it’s easily recoverable.
This is where I started blaming the Al Quada Bio-Nanobots. Not only did these Bio-Nanobots made me sick, but somehow it also got transferred to my computer and made it sick as well.
I told this to my boss, then he told me to go home. He obviously thinks I've gone crazy... Yea.. crazy like a fox.
I’m feeling ok now I think. I’m not sure though. During the last couple of days, the morning period has been fine. It’s only after lunch that it seriously goes downhill.
I’m supposed to go to Philly this weekend. Actually, the flight’s in 7 hours. I can’t decide if I should run the risk of infecting the entire NE with the Al Quada Bio-Nanobots.
What do you think?

Sigh…
Everyday, we hear from our media and from our government about the progress of things over in Iraq. We hear what’s happening to our troops, we hear about the latest group of assholes blowing themselves up, kidnapping people, and hurting innocent people that are there to help them. You stupid stupid fucks.
We hear about the guy with the loudest mouth banging his shoe on the table, screaming at the top of his lungs, about wanting to hurt people he’s never know, and has never done anything to him or anyone he knows.
All that we hear, but what is it that we don’t hear or see? This is a great blog I found through another blog that I really enjoy reading. Read the 2nd most recent post titled “Groceries and Election results”.
Baghdad Burning
It’s a great example of the things we don’t hear about this ‘progress’ that Iraq is making. 'Progress' to what? Democracy and freedom to whom exactly? This is something we will have to wait and see. Sadly, even today, women still isn't seen as important or 'human' enough for our country to protect. Not here in the states, and so I guess why should I expect our government to fight for them in other countries.
Oh well, wishful thinking.
I fear that perhaps W and his cronies created a monster that they soon will lose control. A monster that was meant to spread their ideology but will in turn come back and destroy its creator.
Who knows, I hope I’m wrong. One thing is for sure, those with the most to lose, and those are most vulnerable, will once again suffer at the hands of childish egotistical men playing stupid power trip games with people’s lives.

Maybe there’s something in my drink…
I went out drinking on Friday night. Having advanced secret information that the po-pos are setting up DUI stops all over the place, I decided to just crash at my friend’s place for the night. So with that already settled, I was free to drink myself silly. I didn’t set out to drink myself silly, but if the opportunity was there, I’m prepared.
So the night started out slowly. Drinking at a very Neon-ful bar (seriously, this place has the most neon signs outside of Vegas), the beers were flowing, but relatively tame. We then proceeded to go to 2 other bars for very short stints after the lack of beautiful babies was apparent.
The group decided to go to a dive/biker bar. That’s always a great idea. Walking in, visibility was instantly reduced to about 5 feet with all the smoke in the small unventilated room. I haven’t seen that much leather since the last time I was down in south beach. It was a dive, they had PBR on tap, and I was loving it. The people watching was great! I don’t know what came over me, perhaps trying to look tougher in the biker bar, but after drinking beers all night, I switched to a Jack and Coke.
Now don’t give me this don’t mix drinks crap, cause that’s not it. I was feeling fine when I walked in, a little buzzed, but nothing serious. In the 15min or so it took me to finished the Jack and Coke, I was almost instantly crashing. It came on so quickly. I’m seriously questioning if something was put in the drink. There’s no way it was the alcohol. Physically I still felt ok, my head felt a little cloudy, but that’s about it.
By the time we got to the next bar, I was feeling ok from walking in the cold air. We went in, found a table, and boom, my head hits the table. I was out. I’m not all that clear as far as how or when we got back to my friend's place.
There're two bad things that happened as a result of this. No, my ass was not sore the next day. Since the drunkeness came on so quickly, I only had time to Drunk Dial 1 person. I'm SO not meeting my 3 or 4 drunk messages per weekend quota.
None of that before is that big of a deal really. Here’s the big kicker. While I was out on my friend's couch, the corner house had about 4 police cars surrounding it. After that situation was over, my friend mentioned that hours later, there was also a very loud domestic disturbance in the apt. complex next to the house!! I’m trashy this way and I’m sure it’s not a good thing, but I love seeing these kinds of things. Probably that whole people watching thing.
Secretly, it’s all part of my dream/plan to end up on a episode of “Cops”. Well, without being the one being beaten down by the Cops. I’d be a great random person on the side they interview. I’d have my mustard stained wife beater and a can of PBR.
Damn that'd be smooth.
Here we go with the Monday thing again...

Mr. Brightside
I was looking over the last few posts and noticed that I’ve really been posting some fluffy crap. Not that there’s anything wrong with fluffy crap, but Pup is ranty and rageful, and he will NOT be ignored!
I do have a lot of rants flowing around in my head, but it’s been difficult to put down in words since I’ve been in a pretty good mood as of late. There’s a lot of excitement in the air as the next months will bring Sarah McLachlan goodness, The Killers and Green Day (tix goes on sale tomorrow!), and some fun trips. There’re trips to Philly, Braves opening weekend in Atl (I actually don’t much care for baseball, but I LOVE going to stadiums sitting in the sun watching a game), the date for a Vegas trip is almost finalized, and a long tropical trip is in planning phase.
The only slightly bad thing going is I need more money to support all this crap I’m doing, and until I do, no more new trips L
Anyone looking for an old stuffed bear to provide any services? Like emptying out liquor bottles? I’m also very warm so you can cut down on heating bills by just having me around you.
So this week, no rants, but they’ll be hell next week. Maybe.
Anyway, I’ll leave you with this. Monkey thinks robotic arm into action
Monkeys kicks ass. I won’t have to do much R&D by the time I have my Evil Monkey Island.
Sweet.
Yay, Happy Day of Fri!!! Have a good weekend.

Nasal Sprays and the Mafia Guys
I’m pretty sure I snore. Other people have told me that. I think I can hear it sometimes. I don’t mind other people snoring, but I don’t like that I snore. My dad is a big snorer, and I always felt bad for my mum for having to sleep with all that noise. Whenever my dad and I shared a room, I’d always throw stuff at him. Seriously, it’s like a train in the room. My mum was a light sleeper too, so that didn’t help her sleep. Although she told me you get used to that after a while. Even still, I don’t like to snore when I’m sleeping with someone.
I went to the doctor and she suggested that I try this nasal spray because I’m snoring only when I’m stuffed up with allergies and not the usual reasons for snoring.
Last night, I sprayed before I went to sleep. OMG! I don’t know if this is a side effect or what, but the things that were going through my head would scare pinhead.
As soon as I closed my eyes, the images started. All these distorted and grossly mutated things. Some humanoids, others just disturbing looking stuff. Luckily for me, those things don’t really bother me. My only reaction was ‘Huh.. that’s interesting’.
So of course, whatever was affecting me would continue into my dreams. The dream started out well enough, I was there in Vegas with someone. We were having a good time going to the casinos and visiting all the nice pools. Then those guys showed up again.
I have recurring dreams of these mafia guys coming after me. How do I know they’re mafia? I don’t. I just think they are. Well, so they chase us all around Las Vegas. Some areas I knew, some I think I saw in episodes of Cops. Yes, I replay scenes from Cops in my dreams.. Yea, like you don’t.
The mafia guys are usually dressed very well. Like Queer eye well, but this time, they were NOT pretty at all. They were slimy and warty and full of all kinds of other nastiness.
I don’t remember much else of the dream after that. I do remember I woke up at 4am when they finally caught up to me and were shooting me with liquid nitrogen bullets that made pieces of my body fall off. It was quite painful.
So does allergy medicine give me nightmares? I’ll try again tonight.
This time, I’m going to kick those guy’s asses.
Happy Thursday People! Tomorrow’s Friday!

Down by 16 points with 14 minutes left in the second half....
I know you’ve all been at the tip of your seats and checking this page every minute for the latest on how Air Pup is doing in the local rec. league.
Well, we were down by 10 at the half, then after a quick 6 minutes into the 2nd half, we found ourselves down 16 with 14 minutes left in the game.
This is usually the point where we get even worst. But… Call it the Valentine’s day miracle, or maybe just that the other team was butt ass tired (they only had 5 players so no subs), but we started to come back. With 2 minutes left, we took the lead for the first time (not just in this game, but EVER. Sad I know.).
We kept our composure and broke the full court press. We were fouled, but we hit our free throws. With .8 seconds left, up by one point, the other team had one tip play left to snatch victory away. The ball was thrown in, and his man was there for tip...
The ball bounced on the iron a couple of times. Then.. it dropped off to the right.
Yes, it finally happened.
Team Pup Wins!! Team Pup Wins!!
Looks like everything’s coming up Pup lately. I better go buy a lottery ticket.

The Thou-Shou-Not-Be-Named Day
Actually, I don’t really care so I’m not going to dwell on anything here. I have a big problem with the commercialization blah blah evil corporate greed blah blah blah of it all, but it’s just not a fight high on my list anymore.
I guess it’s good that there’s another excuse for people to score and be nice to each other. More scoring the better I guess, even if it’s not me. Yea, I’m nice like that. That Karma thing better be true.
There was an extra table set up by the lobby today when I came in. I briefly wondered what it was. Came back and forgot all about it when I saw there was 57 emails in my inbox. 57?! What the HELL? About 10 of them were emails from friends, but the other 47 were all work!
What the hell are these people doing to me? There shouldn’t be this many emails by Monday at 8am for ANYONE.
Oh well.. Guess I better get started on them.
OH.. before I lose my thought. I went down to grab a quick lunch, and the table was filled with flowers and teddy bears. That's what it was there for. To embarass people at work or make some co-workers upset that you got flowers. Cool idea!
I’ve already seen at least 4 guys email saying they won’t make the basketball game tonight. Something about having to take their ladies out or some crap. This probably means we’ll be playing with no subs again. I’m fine with it. More playing time for me. Perhaps blocks in 2 games in a row?! Could it be? Do we dare even imagine it?? Stay tuned.
And Yes, I will be doing something tonight with one thing that I love. My night will be spent with a half slab of ribs, side of sausage, and some very good baked beans. Mmmmm… BBQ…
Happy Monday Everyone!

Fa la la la laaaaaaa.... la la la la....
Cause Barrie told me to do it. Like she said though, this is very difficult to just pick a few things. So much of it involves what kind of mood I'm in. Well, here's my shot at answering these questions.
10 Random songs in your library (this is at work)
Guns & Roses – Sweet Child of Mine
The Killers – Mr. Brightside
Final Fantasy VII – Sephiroth – One Winged Angel
Stevie Nix & Don Henley – Leather and Lace
Brak – Monkey
Greenday – American Idiot
DJ GT – 2005 collection
Pet shop boys – Being Boring
Lasgo – Something
Karate Kid Soundtrack – You’re the best
1. What is the total amount of music files on your computer?
About 1.7 gigs at work, 16 gigs at home.
2. The last CD you bought is:
DJ Tiesto – Parade of the Athletes
3. What is the song you last listened to before this message?
Liz Phair – Why can’t I
4. Five songs you often listen to or that mean a lot to you (I'm sure there are better examples, but..).
Bring boring – Pet Shop Boys
Joy of my life – John Fogerty
Everything she does is magic – The Police
Numb – Linkin Park
Heresy - NIN
5. Who are you going to pass this stick to (3 persons) and why?
LiAps – Cause I want to hear a New Yorker talk about Country music.
Big or Little Pinz – Cause it’s about time they updated their blog.
Yoli – Cause I know very little besides she likes to listen to people talk about their problems. Preferably during lunch :)

Happy New Years!
Yea, I could've said Year of the... the other thing. Get your minds out of the gutter people.
This marks Year 4703 in the Chinese Calendar. I laugh at your backward ass 2005 years :)
People born this lunar year, or who are turning 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 and other multiples of 12 are all roosters. The Chinese zodiac animals are the rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog and boar, the order in the cycle determined by how they placed in a legendary race.
Like any holiday anywhere else in the world, this one is filled with food and booze.
So go out and have a Happy New Years today!!

Oh where does the time go?
Can you believe a month’s already past by? Where the hell was I? What was I doing? Next thing I know, it’s February. I never did care much for February. One of the main reasons is cause I have a really hard time spelling February. Thank goodness for this spell checker thingy. Of course, there's also the unmentional corporate made up holiday. I'm not even going to dignify it with a rant here. Just this. If your sorry ass needs a yearly reminder to be good to your mate... you probably don't deserve to have one. OK, I'm done..... For now.
Guess who was at the Super Bowl Party this last Sunday? Wait for it….. Wait for it…. It’s the Rick Springfield chick!! I was trying to hold myself back from cracking up every time I’d look at her. I think she thinks I’m crazy cause she doesn’t remember it and I just keep laughing when I see her.
I know you are all eagerly awaiting updates from my Monday night basketball league games at the rec. center. I've been slacking the last couple of weeks. Here's the update from last night's game. Break out the bubblies people, cause Pup had a record night! Pup had his first not one, but 2 block of the seasons!!! (Crowd cheers!! Women throwing bras!!). In case you don't know, I'm all about the blocks. ALL about the blocks. It's the only thing that matters to me. 2 in a real game? I think I’m ready to retire now.
Work is so crazy this week. The weekend can’t come fast enough. As some of you may notice, no blogging for me at work. Yea, it’s that busy. (sigh) I SO do not understand why I write up things for my director to send to our VP, but she gets credit for it. WTF?
I have so much rantings to blog about too. The state of the union, the budget.. OH.. so much material. Damn this job thing. Any sugar mamas out there willing to take me in so I can blog? No? Yea, didn’t think so.
Oh.. today is Fat Tuesday! Since we’re in the electronic age, I’m willing to receive pics of you flashing instead of the live version. Unless you have a web cam of course. Please remember to jiggle it a little. :)
Happy Fat Tuesday!!

See that guy over there..
People watching is really an art. It’s difficult to find someone that is truly fun to people watch with and is really good at it. Most people can point out some obvious and unsettling things about people as they walk by. That’s fun, but for a true people watcher, he/she will have stories of how they came about having those unsettling things, and maybe what in their lives caused them to think that the furry green hat is a good idea.
I think there’s certainly a degree of dissociative disorder that’s involved in being a good people watcher. To be able to dissociate from your own being (or any logic at that), and try to capture stories of other people simply by looking at them. Sure your chances of actually being correct in anything you say or observe is about as high as winning the lottery, but that’s not the point. The point is just to be amusing.
This is where finding a good people watch partner becomes very difficult. From personal experience, there just aren’t that many people who are really good at this. Not only are those that are fun to people watch with few, but those that also matches your creative style also makes finding a good match very difficult.
I didn’t really have a point. Just thought I talk about people watching and how much fun it is. I haven’t done it in a while. I think I’ll head to the mall this weekend. Although people watching by yourself is just not as fun. Just makes you look kinda crazy staring people then smiling.
My favorite stories are ones about 2 people sitting next to each other that are obviously not together. Or are they? Dumm dum dummmmmmmm!
Yay for the weekend! Boo for it not being next weekend! It’s gonna be a long week next week.
It’s SuperCommerical Sunday! I’m cheering for the Eagles, but sadly, I think the Patriots will blow them out. I’m looking forward to the grilled meats and beers that will fill my belly all Sunday. So much for eating better.
Be careful during the halftime show. Don’t let any boob scar you for life.
Happy Friday Everyone! Have a great weekend!

Wednesday Tid-Bits
Way too busy to be blogging. So I’m going to blog.
I got a haircut yesterday from this Russian lady. As I’m always up for chatting people up about their past, I asked her how long she’s been here and how she got into the hair dresser profession. She had quite an accent so I knew she hasn’t been here too long.
So guess what profession she was in when she was back in the Ukraine?
That’s right. Nuclear Engineer.
America, Land of opportunity.
Back on how ignorant those in the religious-wrong are.
Postcards from buster
In a new PBS children’s program, the cartoon rabbit visits a lesbian couple. This of course caused the newly appointed Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings to complain about public money being used to promote alternative lifestyles.
Hey guess what Margaret, no one is promoting alternative lifestyles here. The show doesn’t tell kids to go and be gay. It’s part of our nation and the world. It’s education. Get a damn clue.
Here’s a novel idea, why don’t you concentrate on real education issues like why teachers don’t paid crap and kids today know only what MTV is teaching them. And No, celebrity news is not actual News.
State of the Union
Tonight is Dubya’s State of the Union Address where he will lay out what’s he’s going to do in these next 4 years. Please watch. It’s good to know ahead of time how he’s gonna screw you so you can be better prepared. You know, give you time to lube up so it doesn't hurt as much.

Teen sex increased after abstinence program
Hey you religious freaks! Yea you, I’m talk to you. Guess what? Your dumbass ideas doesn’t work. Not only does this NOT work, it’s had the opposite effect. Even worst, it’s left these kids without the proper information to how to properly protect themselves.
Not talking about it doesn’t make it go away. As much as you like to shove shit under the rug, it still doesn’t go away. You know what I’m talking about. You all have problems. Don’t hide behind your damn self-appointed righteous. I can see through that, and hiding behind that is something truly ugly. Pride, Greed, and probably Envy.
Don’t think you’re doing anyone any favors cause you’re not. You’re harming them by not educating them. I know this is part of your plan. The ignorant are easier to control after all.
All of you out there trying to push your ignorant uneducated agendas and politics by putting kids in danger can all get a rusty spiky pole shoved up your ass. Kids and Teen’s safety is not something for you to get your little power trips on. Keeping them safe and educated should be your main concern.
And yet... The federal government will spend about $130 Million dollars on abstinent mis-education this year.
Fan-fucken-tastic.

Love
Love glitters because of its many facets; it captivates us because it is always unique, always brings with it what it means to be alive. Most of us would say that we have felt love at one time or another, but what exactly is love? One of the biggest human misconceptions is that love has a universally shared definition, as do words like dog, or apple, or run. However, everyone’s experiences and need of love are never the same. Even for two people in the same relationship, the experience and need of love are different. Though we may be connected in some form to those we are closest to, we will never be able to share the same feelings as we are all individuals with our own set of recipe for how we feel about love.
There is a limitation in our language because it is so limited, we say both “ I love you” and “ I love cake”, as though the two sentiments were the same. What people seem to mean when they say that they “love” is that they are feeling intensely, in either a yearning or joyful ways. “I love” means that someone (or something) matters a great deal to me or provokes a strong positive response in me. The only difference is in the intonation that determines the degree of emotional intensity that one feels. When people talk about loving, they also seem to experience little contradiction in the fact that they love their mother, their father, their friends, etc. All of these, however, are qualitatively and quantitatively different. It would be difficult for a stranger of our culture to come in and be able to distinguish what we mean when we say that we love something or someone.
So before we can speak on the subject of love, we have to first define which aspect of love we will be discussing and what we mean by that. Love here in this case is the passion of one lover for another, the mutuality of shared experience, the gratitude for understanding validation, the security of being adequately held, the admiration for someone who is wonderful, and the joy of feeling at home.
The model for the need of love emphasizes a human yearning for connection. Within the need of connection lurks the threat (and experience) of the opposite. For example, we are most aware of being held when we begin to fall or feel smothered. Nothing sharpens ours sense of ourselves and our meaning for others as much as a heated argument. In other words, we never fully realize what we have until we are threatened with that thing diminishing or becoming overburdening.
The connection that we feel is what defines who we are in the world. We discover the self through our connections with other, and as we grow, we refine and modify our connections to more complex and deeper ways of reaching others. No matter how much we try, we never fully bridge the space between us. It is with this little bit of difference that separates us and makes us individuals. Even when we are married to another, even when we share our lives together. The two people becomes one, but still of separate halves. For 2 people to completely mesh into one would not only be unhealthy, but quite impossible.
To be unloved is an unbearable feeling because it means that we have no real meaning or importance to anyone. I speak of being unloved not in terms of a significant other, but to anyone. As humans, we are stuck with our inescapable need for the emotional responsiveness of another. Even as an infant, we seek the approval and responsiveness of our parents, and this need for approval and responsiveness may repeat itself with the feeling for a need to have a child. Some may feel that there’s a lack of need for you and a feeling of emptiness develops. What better way to fill that void than to simply creating a new being that will be completely devoted/need you? Thus our addiction to being needed continues. This addiction for need will continue till our heart stops beating.
Unless we know that we are somewhere part of the affective life of another, we cannot feel our own existence. This is not to say that we are defined by other’s perception of our existence, but other’s acknowledgment of AN existence. This is why some people who fear that they are unloved often work to be hated (hate being just another face of love in its intensity and its selectivity.) Also, another sign of a person who is unloved shows signs of aggression. People are not inherently aggressive. Rather, our fears of aloneness and loss make us rageful, and we learn to use our anger to try to compel others to meet our needs.
People live with both their fantasies of love and their experiences of love. Inner representations of loving relationships may have little to do with how people appear to observers. We sigh when we watch movies like ‘Sleepless in Seattle’, or ‘Casablanca’ but carry on with the less romantic folks at home. Many people are just not willing to take the risk involved in trying to fulfill a fantasy of love for the great fear that they may not be able to recover from the loss. This is a problem that only we can answer for ourselves. Are we satisfied with taking the beaten path, where all the road signs are there to direct us on a safe and uneventful road. Or will we risk it all in search of that one true romance that others only dream of? What is the price that we will pay if we do not succeed?
Like anything great and worth the effort, the risks are high, but remember the reward. No one should ever tell you what to do in this subject. Sure there are times when it’s obvious that one is doing the wrong thing, but sometimes it’s not that easy. In many choices, it’s not a matter of right or wrong. Simply a choice with which one has a certain ending, and one is unknown. No one has the right answers, and no one will know what can and will happen.
Please note that the choice doesn’t necessarily involve a new person. Simply the choice of doing something different, with the same person or with a new person. It matters not. It’s simply something that you’ve longed to do. Doing something so that at the end of your years, you won’t have to wonder, and to ask yourself “what-if”. “What-If”, a Hell like no other.
I had a point when I started writing this, but that was 4 drinks ago. I'll just let you make your own conclusions.

Mi Nombre es Pup
I forgot to post about this last week. I’m taking a Spanish class. I’ve always wanted to learn Spanish. Mostly because I want to be able to communicate with such a large population of people, me wanting to travel south this summer, and of course, a whole new population of senoritas for me to hit on. Oh, maybe if I can get fluent enough, I can drunk call in spanish too! The advantages are endless.
The class doesn’t start until 7pm, so that allows me to go home first. It’s only my 2nd week, but both weeks, the idea of skipping has already flowed through my head (yea, even the first week). That of course, would be silly. It’s just that it’s been years since I’ve actually had to go to class. Old habits dies hard (Not entirely true since I had perfect attendence all throughout high school. College and grad school is a completely different stories though.).
This class is a little different in that we don’t learn like you would regularly learn a new language. It's not like taking Spanish 1. There’s no grammar. This is Spanish for the work place, so we learn things people say most often, especially in the work place. We learn phrases, and common words and commands needed in the work place.
For me, it's No entiendo, por favor repite, and hable mas despacio!
I think it’s pretty fun to just memorize phrases. Sometimes it’s difficult to understand if there are variations, but I think I'm starting to get enough of the gist. Fun, Fun, FUN! I can’t tell you how much fun learning a new language is!
Nothing exciting this weekend to report. I have some good things coming up in the next couple of weekends, so I’m going to spend some QT in the apt. There’s cleaning to be done (pup leaves bottles everywhere), and games to be played. Especially this new one a friend just got me.
If you’ve never played it, Zoo Tycoon is a kick ass game! It’s like sim-city, but you build a zoo. It’s very addicting. No really, it’s fun. Shut up!
Have a good Friday and weekend everyone!
Lo veo el proximo lunes!

Animal-Human Hybrids Spark Controversy
This is a very interesting article. I was pretty amazed that there’s so much of this already going on. As you may recall, this type of research was what I was going to do on my secret island that I would buy when I win the lottery. I would combine super monkeys with other animal traits and abilities for a perfect army. We wouldn’t attack anyone of course, just getting ready for the pre-emptive strikes.
I fully support this type of research because there are many medical benefits that could result from this. However, parts of me can’t stop thinking about the theoretical arguments for making Chimeras.
Duplicating humans is one thing. It’s been done. It’s nothing new. No big deal. In this case, new species are being created. Not only that, they are being created for the sole purpose of research and harvested for parts.
Much of the following debates isn’t valid until much further into this research, but I like to think long term and it’s my post so there.
How much success and how far the development will go before we say, ‘No, we can’t just harvest them because they’re living creatures’. Will we ever see them as equals or just parts for us to harvest?
Before I go on, all you Anti-choice people need to stop thinking that this is the same issue because it’s not. I’m not going to get into it here, but it’s not the same thing.
What are the responsibilities for us being creators of these creatures? And doesn’t it seem very selfish that we would create another whole species just to allow our kind (humans) to live longer using their parts? What kind of species are we to be so obsessed to live beyond our normal timeline?
Also, why is there such a big fear of death? It’s natural. Getting fixed up with different body parts is not. It’s Frankensteinism. Yea, I made that word up. It’s not natural.
There are 6.5 billion people in the world right now. Why do we need to extend the life span of people when the population growth shows no signs of slowing? As it is, the planet will have problems supporting life in the next 50 yrs or so.
On one hand, I fully support this research. However, I really do have reservations for where it would take the human specie on a grander scheme.
Questions to think about.
On a fun note, what other animal parts/traits would YOU want to have added to you?

Sweet Nectar of the Gods
I generally average about 12 or so emails at work a day. After missing Monday for work due to the wedding, how many emails awaits me at work? 12 you say? No. Cause that would be too logical. The correct answer is 54! 54 Damn emails?! What the Hell?
For some reason, my out of office message has become the magnet for work emails.
So no blogging for the last couple of days as I was actually working and trying to catch up.
The wedding went very well in case you were wondering. The bride did crack up during the vowels during rehearsals. Not exactly a laughing moment, but by wedding time, there were tears. It was all very sweet.
I think I did ok with the speech even though a couple of kids were trying to out stage me. So I told them their daddy drinks cause they’re being bad. That shut them up. I think I’ll share this part cause it’ll embarrass Ko. As part of the ‘Things to do” during the bachelor party, he had to write 10 reasons why he loved his fiancée. One good thing about watching all those cheesy movies is I get some good ideas about this kind of stuff.
So during my speech, I read the list. I saw some tears! Yea, I’m smooth.
Funniest moment of the wedding besides my speech and one of the aunts dancing:
Me: "Dude, that girl you're hitting on is only 22."
Dude: "Oh really? Hmmmmm....
Dude: "And?"
Me: "Nothing"
Ok, so it was funnier in my head.
So with that I say Congratulations Ko and J!!!
There’s been something on my mind since last Friday (yes, drunk call night). My friend and I went to a pub. No, not just some half ass place calling itself a pub (not some stupid ass bar and grill either), but a pub pub. They served the finest beer from all the land. I’m pretty sure if you ordered anything domestic they’d kick your ass out.
I tried something my friend’s friend had recommended. It came in a little funny glass. There probably wasn’t but about 12 oz or so in the cup. When that dark slow flowing liquid touched my lips, OMG! The taste was incredible. Not to sound cheesy, but it tasted like the first time you kissed someone. New, exciting, delicious, and you just want to have that taste on your lips forever.
Maybe I just have a problem, but I was still thinking about it today at work. This is a Belgium beer named Gulden Draak. If you can find it, it is truly your lucky day. Fun fact about this heavy dark beer, it is 10.5 % alcohol by volume. I think I have a pretty high tolerance, but 2 glasses of this stuff and I was buzzing like a freshman at his first kegger (that’s a shout out to BigPinz).
Gulden Draak is the sweet nectar of the Gods. I would know. I’m a megalomaniac.
Happy Hump Day Everyone!

Oh Hell NA.... NO you didn't!!!
Sorry to post over the Happy Celebration of Ko's wedding this weekend, but this is too angering to me.
Christians issue gay warning on SpongeBob video
A video made by a non-profit organization designed to encourage tolerance and diversity in children is being attacked by christian groups as being exploited to promote the acceptance of homosexuality.
Are you people fucking kidding me? You are actually trying to imply that teaching children acceptance and tolerance is a bad thing? Or maybe just be tolerant of those things you think are ok and not others? Hey asshole, that's not the definition of acceptance or tolerance. Look it up.
It's like being pregant. You're either tolerant or not, you're either accepting of other's way or not. Stop pretending you're one of the good guys. Cause you're not. You hate for no reason. You hate cause you're afraid. Afraid that you are wrong.
I think Yoda says it best. Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you.
On another point.
First of all, what kind of sick fucks are you to even see sexuality in children's cartoons and children's shows? As soon as you see that something is made for children, all your senses for anything sexual should be immediately turned off. If not, you've got some issues to work out sicko!
Ok.. back to Happy KO wedding stuff!

Going to the chapel and we’re…. gonna get…. MARRRRIED..
Taking off for Ko’s wedding this weekend in Atlanta in a few hours!! I can’t believe Ko’s getting married. Who would’ve guess he could get a girl THAT drunk! Ha.. ok, just kidding.
I hope I don’t say stupid shit like that for my speech. Argh.. the pressure of having to make a speech. Damn, I need to get liquored up for this. I better write it down too.
Beware! Any of you that are programmed in my phone. This WILL be a very big drunk calling weekend. Mark my words… around 2 or 3 or 4 in the morning… be prepared for one drunk obnoxious phone call, or if you don’t pick up, one drunk obnoxious voice mail!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I’ll be sure to have good stories next week!
In the meantime, Guess the Blogger hand!

I watched a special tonight on PBS. It was about the Nazi. If you didn't know, I have a slight obsession about everything WWII. It was such a breakthrough period in the history of our species. Not a good breakthrough. I believe for the first time, we saw what we as a specie could truly become.
This special tonight was a bit disturbing and showed my point perfectly. Basically, it was about the Nazi's development, fine-tuning, and perfecting of mass murdering methods. This was not a happy special. No, no happy meal special here.
I'm not going to go into details, but I think you can imagine the horror. Actually you probably can't. Most people can't. Don't worry, that's a good thing. The horror of how some brilliant individuals used their minds not for good and to help man-kind, but for evil and to slaughter as many innocent men, women, and children as quickly as possible.
There were several accounts from individuals who survived the horrible events, and there were movie clips giving you a glimpse of the death that so many people lived with for so long. For those survivors, these images are no doubt burned into their memories that will always haunt them. I stared into the screen. I drift off a little. I keep staring into the old videos and death camps and just imagined.......
The Cell
In this room, I am confined by the stones and the aged steel.
My body they have locked and thrown away.
Trapped inside the confides of this mutated earth.
My body is nourished by the scrapes and filth they have left, and that even their animals will not touch.
Just enough to keep my body alive and my mind broken.
They won’t allow me to die, for then I would be free.
I cannot die, for then they would claim victory.
I am bound to this room, and this room to me.
My mind drifts, to different and familiar places.
I can no longer differentiate between the two, for in my mind, reality and fantasy blurs as one.
There I am warm, there I am happy, and mostly importantly, there I am free.
Like a dog running towards a bone and without realizing it, the leash snaps and chokes me back into reality.
The reality that I am in this cell.
Help me. Please.

Hump Day Mini's
* In case you haven't seen it yet, go see Jib Jab's new cartoon 'Second Term' here. They're the people who brought you 'This Land', and 'It's good to be in DC'.
* ABBA's cool. I've been listening to them all day. That still shouldn't raise me above the 30% mark though.
* I can't decide if I should write a speech for this weekend's wedding, or just get hammered and say what's on my mind. Hammered Pup speeches are more fun, but not always appropriate. Especially for a wedding.
* I think someone has put some magical spell on my bed that doesn't allow me to get off it in the morning. That and it's about 60 degrees in my apt. in the morning. Burrrr....
* My apt. is a lot more quiet without 6 drunken ladies.
* Why doesn't more hotels offer hot tubs in the rooms?
* We're almost at 10, 000 hits!! Too bad half of those are just me. If you're the 10K guest, a special prize awaits!
* Here's an interesting read about teens today and their views on Sex. It's funny that teenagers already have 'friends with benefits'. Where the hell were them when I was in high school?
* Thing like this makes me nervous about having a niece. I may have one soon, and I think I may go crazy once she gets around 13. Don't give me that arugment about 'she likes it too'. That's my niece!! No dirty perv. boy is getting anywhere near her.
* I've already planned out the first time a boy comes to pick her up for a date. I'll be there, probably T. I'd be drunk with a bottle of Jack and a knife when I come open the door. We'd grill'em. A few questions T and I will ask, 'how old are you? (look damn near 30 to me), 'what are your intents?', 'ever made love to man, boy? Want to?'
* Just wondering... where did you learn what to do during oral sex (Friends? Experience? Porn? Books?)? Just curious.
Want to?'

Blog-Fest 2005!!!
Kansas City
Love, BBQ, and Happiness. With temperature highs in the teens.
Being the only Pup in a group of 6 very lovely ladies is not a bad thing. This last weekend, several of the bloggers from around the country descended into the amazingly butt-ass cold Kansas city for a gathering.
I'm not going to describe all the bloggers again because Nanner, Jamie, and Peon have all done such good jobs. The only thing I will say is that even if you've seen pics of these gals, they are all by far cuter than their digital doubles.
One thing I will say. On Friday night, we went to get BBQ for dinner at Jack Stacks (Best BBQ in KC, and in a very very close race with Dreamland BBQ for best BBQ in the country). Being a large group, they herded us into a private dinning room. I sat there between the 6 ladies, not being able to decide if I'm big pimping or I'm one of the girls.
It may have been a BBQ induced hallucination, I went with big pimping. I almost order a Hennessy/Courvoisier to fit my role as pimp.
I thought I had something funny to say there, but I guess not. Too late to erase now.
So here's the short version of Saturday night when the ladies came over to my place for dinner. There were 6 women in my apt. Yada Yada. I was SO tired the next morning...
That not good enough for you? Too bad.
I thought the dinner came out pretty well. There was even an extra special dish that wasn't on the menu. Curry Meat balls (don't be nasty) with grounded peanuts. They were delicious.
I put in a bit too much butter so the flaming berry sauce was a bit more runny than I would have liked. It was still flaming though, so that's cool.
Although my hands were busy all night... from stuff... I was surprised no one asked me to show off my turntable skillz. Yea, the z means I'm good. Maybe they knew they wouldn't be able to control themselves onces they see my moves (I bought you got served last month, so I've been practicing :))
I'm sure there are stories that will pop up that I'll post later. Don't count on it though. The only stories that I remember are WAY too enjoyable to share. HA. Feel that love. No, seriously. I'm not sharing. At least not without someone buying me some drinks.
I had the most wonderful time this weekend that I'll remember forever, I'm glad all you gals took the time and effort to come out to KC.
On a side note. Strangers coming to visit me... Hmmm.... where the hell are those people that actually know me?! Hello? Yea, I'm talking to you.
And no, there's still no Rick Springfield here.

Air Pup
Being a one foot tall stuffed bear has its advantages. I’m snuggly and the chicks dig the clothes I wear. But like any mutant power, this short cuddly stature comes with its disadvantages as well.
The one big disadvantage I’m talking about here is during basketball season. I have a big fondness for basketball. No, not the NBA or all those punk ass spoiled millionaires. I like the game.
Ever since middle school, a group of my friends would wander around neighborhoods playing basketball. Running at the local hot spots for pick-up games. Having your crew run against others in the neighborhood. It sounds silly, but it was great. When night time came, we would go to certain houses that had a flood light to keep playing. Damn we spent a lot of time playing basketball.
These were my boys. If we weren’t playing basketball, we’d just be hanging out. If one of us got in trouble on the court or off, the others would jump in without a second though. I know I’ll probably never have that kind of bond anymore (well, mainly cause I don’t play street ball anymore, or get in fights with groups of people, and anyone I know that I could really call is hundreds of miles away).
So every year, like a moth to fire, I sign up for a couple of rec. league basketball teams. Just hoping to recapture a little bit of that feeling from the past. Sadly, every year, I think I get worst.
You would think after all these years of playing, I would be decent at the game. Oh how wrong you would be. I like the physical inside game. Mainly cause I like the hitting and bumping and pounding things inside, but also because I can’t dribble that well.
This is where being one foot tall is problematic (Unless you can assign 100 points to blocking/rebounding. You know what’s up Furdell). I can still play some D, rebound, and box-out (thanks to 2 years of daily box-outs drills), but the offensive is just shit.
This last Monday was our first official game of the season. We were killed. I don’t think I helped any with my game.
Last Monday’s stats:
Pup: 0 points 2 rebounds 1 assist 7 Turnovers (6 in the first half, but only 1 in the second)
~sigh~ 8 more weeks.

It’s 7 days into the New year and so it’s about time for another edition of..
What the FUCK is wrong with you people?
If you have followed this blog and some of the rants, you may have picked up the fact that I have no love for the religious right-wing egomaniacs. They’re not just the harmless guys yelling at street corners or the ones yelling fire and brimstones anymore. No, they’ve evolved.
Especially true in the last decade, the religious right has slowly creeped into the mainstream. Assuming high level positions in our government and in our neighborhoods. Everywhere we go, there is an affluent religious leader at the helm of groups that has nothing to do with religion or faith (i.e. think education).
No longer are they the ones looking in from the outside. In the political landscape today, it is them who holds the power. The power to market fear into our psyches and in doing so, further their own twisted agenda.
For today’s rant, I’m going to talk about the new Justice Department’s guidelines for treating rape victims. I’m talking about it cause rape is something I absolutely have no tolerance of. There are times and sometimes justification for drugs, stealing, and maybe even homicide, but at no time will there ever be one for rape (child abuse is in this category too, but that's another post).
In the new guidelines for rape victims, there were no mentioning of emergency contraceptives for rape victims. A few organizations out there states that emergency contraceptives were in earlier versions of the guidelines, but were taken out because of political fears.
What the Fuck? How fucking wrong and sad is it when you are using people’s lives to play you little damn political game and for you to argue your damn moral high grounds on? Who the fuck is you? Not that I know, but I’m betting that it’s a bunch of old rich white dudes up there thinking they know how it would feel to get raped.
What I wouldn’t give to have someone ass rape their fucken egotistical self and then ask them to rethink these guidelines.
All this talk of the pregnancy also shows these people’s need to prove their points and their agenda over any emotional or physical concerns of the women who are raped. I mean, aren’t they basically saying, well, it’s too bad you were raped, but now we’re only concern that you do your role as a baby carrier. We don't really care what you think about things anymore.
They can defend their stance with their moral high ground all they want, but like most of these anti-choice decisions, these fuckers never think of the long term picture. Yes, you may have allowed a child to be born. But what is the child born into? A mother that looks at the child as the product of not love, but of a twisted violent mental illness. A life born probably in the lower socioeconomical status? As if the kid doesn’t already have an up hill battle. Yea, that’s a good life for the kid. Of course you don’t care about anything like this as long as you prove your little point huh?
What about giving the child up for adoption? Once again, it’s another one of your ideal scenarios that’s all nice and pretty in your head, but so much uglier in real life.
Hey you. Guess what? Your morality isn’t always the right thing to do. The greater good always is. Hence the phrase greater good. Stop using real people’s lives for you petty self-righteous little theoretical games. Starting thinking of doing the right thing for once damn it.

Fade into the Half-Lite
So I think I screwed up last night. Actually I'm damn sure I screwed up. You be the judge.
A friend of mine has been nagging me to call her. She wants to know how I spent my holidays. Yesterday I shot her an e-mail promising I'd call early in the evening.
Well before I left work my homeboys called. A spaghetti dinner was to be had, movies were to be watched, computers gonna be hooked up.... How can I pass that up?
I got home, put on my hip-hop gear, grabbed the party essentials and walked past the phone. I didn't think of her until 12:30a...after there was no one else to talk to. After thinking of her waiting for my call.
"Is it too late to call?" Probably.
"Should I call anyhow?" .....
"Damn!!! I fucked up!"
What do I do? Nothing's on the television. The music I listen to scares me too much. THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE...WITH THE SAME GIRL!!!!!!!
I make excuses.
"She's long distance. She should be calling me."
"I hate telephones as it is! It always seems as if I'm talking to myself."
"I didn't do anything for the holidays! That's gotta be obvious if I don't call."
"I shouldn't feel bad. I don't want anyone to care for me." (classic)
Defense mechanisms.
I'm too blind to see that she really "likes" me. Its simple to see. Maybe its too simple--
The kicker. I receive an e-mail from her this morning addressed to me and several of her mentors.
"Urgent! Don't forget to mail recommendations! Deadline approaching! These are the places...."
I'm such a dumbass.

Hiring Discrimination? Screw that. We don’t care about that here anymore.
At least not when it comes to faith
How in the hell did I miss this? Or how was this not posted on the front page of every newspaper in the country? Are we so obsessed with useless news that we’re missing the real stuff? No, I don’t care which celebrities are hooking up and certainly not about this weird obsession with a pathological liar that killed his wife cause he was too much of a piece of shit to burden himself with any responsibilities.
All this coverage just to further another agenda of the conservative right to give the fetus rights. Get a clue people. People get killed everyday. There’s a reason for this much coverage. Ok, that’s another post for later.
Anyway, I’m not sure how I stumbled onto this information, but it’s apparently is what the president wants and so it’s probably going to be law. All signs seem to point that direction. It’s been going on for a couple of years now and with no one really challenging it I suppose it will be snuck in like that fucken RAVE Act.
So here’s the problem. As part of the president’s faith-based and community initiative, the president states that:
“When they (organizations) receive Federal funds, they should retain their right to hire those individuals who are best able to further their organizations’ goals and mission.”
What this means folks is that it is ok for companies to hire based on what religion you are. I’m not taking this out of context or making this up. This is what this initiative does. Check out the religious hiring rights handbook.
For some reason, the president and his cronies have this idea that the civil rights and religious liberties of faith-based organizations are under attack. The present laws states that no federal funds can be used directly for religious specific programs. The law prevents funds from going to religious groups. The whole idea behind separation between church and state. This idea which this country was founded on, now is under attack by the president.
So hence, he and the voices that guide him has began this crusade to overthrow these type of laws. With these new laws, a religious organization will be allowed to hire people not based on any type of skill or job competencies, but simply based on faith (i.e. – Christian organization can hire only Christians, Jewish organizations only Jews, etc.)
After so many people have worked so hard to get civil rights for everyone back in the 60s, this one act by such a misguided president can undo any and all that people have worked for in giving people basic civil rights.
Companies are not allowed to discrimination based on race, gender, age, disabilities, or national origin when making hiring decision. It’s completely insane that religion is no longer going to be a protected class. I mean, just imagine not getting a job not because you’re not capable or willing, but just because of your faith. That is what this act will allow organizations do.
This is a big problem that will spread like a horrible disease. A horrible, horrible infectious disease.
Hire individuals who are best able to “further their organizations goals and mission” is so vague that it can be translated into a number of things. In their insanely narrow-minded and prejudice goal to make this a strictly Christian based country, they are destroying all that this country was founded for. The religious fanatics behind this are the real terrorists. These are the type of people we are fighting with overseas right now. These religious freaks in our own country are the ones who hate the real American way of life. A way that is tolerant and accepting of all that are here.
ARGHHHH!! Why don’t you people see this?!?!
I can’t write about this anymore. My heart’s beginning to pound much to fast. Please take a read at the document and be afraid. Very very afraid.
Why Religious Hiring Rights Must be Preserved
At least not when it comes to faith

Before this gets too old..
Tennessee 38 – Texas A&M 7
Yea, suck a nut you damn Aggies!! In case you don’t know, I can’t stand Texas A&M. This isn’t just a simple dislike, or aversion. My relationship with Texas A&M is better described by words like loathe and despise. It’s a special level of hate. Not used or even thought about by common experiences. No.. this is special. My absolute disgust at anything Aggie is almost clinically problematic for me to think rationally when dealing with them (especially during football season).
So during this College bowl season, I saw that my university was playing the nemesis of my being, I couldn’t be happier. I knew the Vols and Smokey (our mascot) would make those Aggies and Reverence (their mascot) our bitches Saturday morning.
The Vols did not disappoint. It was a 28-0 thrashing by half time. Luckily for those around me, I am a bit more calm when we’re winning (I’m just not into gloating). I almost hope it would be a close game. Things would be thrown, profanities would be shouted at the top of my lungs, verbal threats all around, good time for all.
Ironically, my sister went to Graduate School at A&M. I never visited her. I did go to her graduation, but I wore a large coat and a fake handlebar mustache so I would not be recognized.

I watched 'Bring it on' last night... again. Yup, Dushku is still hot.
BTW, as if I didn’t like Sandra Bullock before. She goes and does this.
