As some of you may know, I don’t enjoy sleeping. I don’t do all that much of it if I can help it. I’m usually up till I’m just falling asleep in my chair or sofa. When I get into bed, I always set my clock radio for 9 min for it to auto shut off. I’ve never heard it shut off.
All this non sleeping does eventually catch up to me. Once or twice a year, I’ll just sleep forever. Last night was one of these cases. I know some of you will be proud.
I went out for some early drinking goodness at my favorite pub. It had to be early cause my friend is only allowed out for a few hours in the afternoon before being called back by his girlfriend.
A lot of drinking ensued since we haven’t seen each other in a while. Our waitress informed us that we were her last table EVER. After 23 years, she’s quitting the food service industry. So yay for her.
I think I am becoming more of a regular there. I offered some of my beer that our waiter’s never had, so he was very appreciative. Another waiter from the other night I was there came by to say hi. Soon, I’ll have them yell “Pup” when I come in.
When we got back home, I was a bit drunk and it was still early, around 7pm or so. I thought I’d take a little nap and hope to make the room stop spinning. The next time I got up, it was 2am.
This happened to me when I was in Dallas too. Tried the same let’s take a quick nap thing. That so doesn’t work out. So I decided to just keep sleeping through the night and just now got up. I slept for a full 12 hours.
I do feel quite rested. Hope my body enjoyed that cause it’s not going to get sleep for a while.
